Christ said "Go into all the world," we heard, GO RO!
Good times ROll!
Today is the last full day for the Sieberts. We can't believe how the time has flown! It was great sharing Christmas with them here in RO.
While the Sieberts were out doing some shopping, Sanda and I had our first guitar lesson. The instrument was a very special Christmas gift from Bunica Sue, Paul's mom. Sanda loves it and is ready to learn to really play. Until today, she has blissfully strummed whatever her fingers landed on while she sang.
Lesson 1: Our first power chords. We're still working on getting our fingers in the right spot so that the strings don't buzz, but we're making great progress!
Lesson 2: Rummy. Patty and Sanda created Sanda's version of the game this evening. She picked up the concept pretty quickly. It was settling on ONE set of rules that took some time. Apparently, Sanda was letting the creative juices flow and the rules were "fluid", changing as needed according to the hand she was dealt. But, in the end, Patty guided her to a final set of rules that they played by…even if it meant losing a hand or two.
Jackson noted that on his Facebook the night before, he wrote, "Sanda's first movie night with the guys—'The Sound of Music' and Pufleti". He laughed that Sanda's first night with the girls was Rummy (note the boys weaving hot pads in the background!) :) Good times ROlling!
